These lockrings are internally splined to secure your centerlock rotors to 12mm thru-axle and quick-release hubs. They interface for easy installation and removal with a standard cassette tool, which you've probably got in your home toolbox. The slim profile and internal splines increase clearance on frames and forks without clearance for a thicker, externally-splined lockring.
(Note: internally splined lockrings do not play nice with Chris King or Onyx 12mm hubs. If you've got King or Onyx 12mm thru-axle hubs, or other hubs that utilize a 15mm or 20mm thru axle, look to Wolf Tooth's Externally Splined Rotor Lockring.)
Sold Individually, but you probably want a pair so buy two.
